With no winners in the Lucky's contest for the second week in a row, the carryover makes the prize $15,465 for a perfect card this week. The amount of the carryover indicates that there were 767 entrants paying $5-per in Week 2, down from Week 1s 794.

Best MNF Parties

Last week provided some interesting results in our ongoing canvassing of Monday Night Football parties, as we stayed almost completely on the Strip, particularly at CityCenter. You might not expect much would be happening there, but remember, there are dozens of bars and restaurants throughout the complex and there were a couple of surprises. While we assumed that Todd English P.U.B. would be MNF headquarters, that wasn't the case. The place was crowded, but not to the level expected. Why? Probably because there were no deals offered there. Instead, one of the most unlikely places in Aria had a good crowd and is our top pick for viewing if you're at CityCenter. During any football game, drinks and appetizers are half price in the lounge at Union. This is a Light Group restaurant with great appetizers, so you can eat shrimp and crab and various steak concoctions for $8-$10. That's strong.

Otherwise, the same theme from last week prevails: Crowds are down and parties are suffering. We've now dropped in on more than 20 MNF parties over the first two weeks of this season. Add Union at Aria to our best picks, along with Sam's Town, Suncoast, Lagasse's Statdium at Palazzo, M Resort, and South Point.
