The Las Vegas Football Update is a weekly feature posted at LVASports. Updates provide information as we discover it about events and happenings at casinos and bars around Las Vegas.

NFL Playoffs:

The playoffs are set with games on Saturday and Sunday. We'll post game lines and promo information in the news feed.

Fiesta Bowl:

Oregon is a -7.5 favorite over Kansas State in tonight's Fiesta Bowl. The total is 74.5 and rising. Check the news feed for the line at game time, as well as the lines on the remaining college bowl games on the day they're played.

National Championship Game:

The Alabama/Notre Dame line has moved around a lot, going from Alabama -7.5 to -10, and is now -9.5 in most spots. The total has dropped one point to 40.

Public Favors Sports Betting:

In a survey conducted by Farleigh Dickinson University, 51% responded that sports betting should be legalized, the first time the poll has shown a majority in favor of legalization. One in five men acknowledged having bet on sports.

Pick the Pros:

In the final week of the contest, 11 cards went 16-0. The winner of the tiebreaker received $10,000, and the 10 others received $2,000 apiece.

Cantor Finals:

With some of the picks extending into the college bowl season, the championship round between Mike Greene and Bryan Leonard has not yet been decided, but it's a wild one. Greene is 4-2 and Leonard is 2-3. If Greene wins his last game or Leonard loses one of his last two, Greene wins. However, if Greene loses his last game and Leonard wins his last two, Leonard will win by virtue of the fifth tiebreaker, which is the third game chosen by each contestant. Greene is on Mississippi -3.5 and Leonard is on Pittsburgh in the Compass Bowl. And Leonard is on Notre Dame +9.5 in the National Championship.

SuperContest:

Al Sr. posted 5-0 record on the final week to win the LVH SuperContest by a half game over Jay Stones. Al Sr.'s record of 56-26-3 (68.3%) earns him $447,000, the biggest prize in the history of the contest. Al Sr. and Jay Stones both finished above 67% and will split the $10,000 bonus for surpassing that level. In the end-of-the-year mini-contest, 19 tied for first at 12-3. They split the $10,000 bonus, winning $526.31 each.
