“The Best Of It”: A sports betting movie featuring Alan Dinkenson, Lem Banker, Roxy Roxborough, Alan Boston and the late Ken Weitzner will examine professional sports bettors and their lifestyle. The feud between Boston and Weitzner that started on Las Vegas radio will be one of the main storylines. LADBROKES: The London based betting and gaming company will be providing the Westgate with their mobile betting software. No specific date for it’s debut has been given but prior to the start of football season is a good guess. Ladbrokes owns a piece of Stadium Technology Group which supplies Coast, Atlantis, Aliante and soon to be Treasure Island.

DEFLATEGATE BALL: One of the balls reportedly used in the 2nd H of the DeflateGate game vs the Colts sold at auction for a ridiculous $43,740. Lelands was the auction house and color me skeptical but if this were a deal that never gets completed for one reason or another I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised. Often these type of items go public and an amount gets attached to the item based on an auction hammer price. Confirmation of an actual transaction is a different story. What this accomplishes is it establishes a “last sale price” for the item and then you see it up for auction soon after. Autographs and game-used memorabilia is not an area for the inexperienced.
